Profile:Etsuji Tomita received his B. Eng. and Dr. Eng. degrees in Electronics Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Then he was with the faculties of Tokyo Institute of Technology, and was appointed Associate Professor and subsequently Professor at the University of Electro-Communications (UEC Tokyo), Japan. He was also Professor at the Research and Development Initiative, Chuo University, and a part-time lecturer at Hokkaido University and others. He is presently Professor Emeritus at UEC Tokyo and is with the Advanced Algorithms Research Laboratory, UEC Tokyo, He served as the Chair of the department of Information and Communication Engineering, and the founding Head of the Advanced Algorithms Research Laboratory at UEC Tokyo. He was also Research Advisor of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) ERATO Minato Discrete Structure Manipulation System Project, and was with Tokyo Institute of Technology.
